A few months ago, I was invited by fellow artist, Alessandra Lanot (Life After Breakfast PH) to partake in a campaign that promotes eating more vegetables and supporting the local farming industry of the country.
Different local watercolor artists were each asked to make watercolor illustrations of protein-rich vegetables that were locally produced here in the Philippines. This was for a campaign promoted by Greenpeace Philippines. Greenpeace is a non-profit organization that has been working to promote awareness, and to protect and conserve the environment.
I made a watercolor illustration of Pigeon Peas (or known here has Kadios)!

The watercolor illustrations were all compiled and used in Greenpeace Philippines’ educational posters and postcards. The campaign hopes to lessen the carbon footprint produced by intensive animal farming through promoting awareness and support for more plant-based meals, which is suggested as a better alternative.
Truly grateful to have participated in this cause!
